CASHLESS ECONOMY VERSUS ELECTRONIC VOTING
I would like to know the rational behind Nigerian Government decision in the usage of electronic voting and implementation of cashless economy.
The Government tells us that the level of literacy in Nigeria is low and that there are areas that do not have electricity which could incapacitate the aim of electronic voting.
Note: I am not against cashless economy but my worry is that these same reasons also apply to the cashless economy and the Government is quite more determined to implement it. Why can't we give the same consideration to the electronic voting to reduce the level of electoral manipulations in this country.
Please who is there in the house to help me understand the position of the Government on these two issues very well?
